Cleaning your house feels insurmountable when you have a mood disorder. You feel stuck and you don’t know where to start. Sometimes you just don’t want to clean up because scrolling on your phone has your attention.

But, there are benefits to having a clean home:
Reduced stress
Enhanced productivity
Improved focus
Building healthy habits
Improved mood
Better sleep
Now that you know the benefits, you might wonder where to start. You can find out what to do from various places on the internet that are free.
YouTube
There are many cleaning videos on YouTube, you can find them by searching for Clean With Me. I found these videos a little overwhelming because these women clean like it is their job. I feel that I don’t need to be a professional cleaner to attain the benefits named above. I just need a mostly clean house.
Clean Moma
I prefer the cleaning routine of Clean Mama. She has printouts that are free to download that explains what to do and when. She has daily, weekly, rotating, and monthly tasks. She recommends you start with the daily tasks until you get comfortable and ready to add more tasks.
Then you can add the weekly tasks that have different days for different tasks. Once you get to this point I recommend printing out her printables, so you don’t get confused. You just look up the task by the day of the week.
I have never worked my way up to the rotating and monthly tasks, and I can tell you your house will still look good with just the daily and weekly tasks. You can pace yourself and work at a level you are comfortable.
I hope that this helps you to clean your house and improve your mood and anxiety. It really helped me. Have an awesome day.
